The UMaine Navigators Ministry
Ezekiel 37:5-6 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

UMaine Navigators Ministry Staff
Sam & Mary Heathcote
Sam and Mary serve together as the Campus Leaders for the UMaine Navs, discipling students, hosting, and coaching the student leaders. Mary graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine in 2012 and joined staff with The Navigators immediately after graduation, serving in Amherst, Massachusetts; in Zagreb, Croatia; in Southern Maine; and in Amsterdam, The Netherlands before marrying Sam and moving to Orono. Sam graduated from UMaine in December of 2016 with a degree in Bioengineering, and currently works as an engineer on campus. He served with the UMaine Navs as a student leader for four years before joining as Associate Staff in 2017. Mary and Sam have a heart for seeing the gospel thrive in Maine. They are particularly interested in finding ways to share the gospel in ways that engage with the post-Christian culture of the Northeast. In their free time, Mary and Sam love spending time with their daughter, Evelyn, and enjoying their backyard on the Penobscot River. They are avid readers and are always working to perfect new recipes to share with friends that come to visit.
